Ed Milliband & Labour
Once again on Newsnight we have the spectacle of a former government minister with all the questions and none of the answers. Ed Milliband was on the show to discuss the proposed AV system of voting and the likely timetable of the bill being introduced and put to the electorate in the form of a referendum.
But instead we were again peddled the notion that the coalition was likely to implode if not on this issue but on the recent emergency budget which was necessary to correct the years of mismanagement from Mr & Mrs Prudence who broke so many of their own rules along the way to breaking the United Kingdom by drowning it in debt and despair.
Once again Ed Milliband could not come up with a single sentence about how and where Labour were planning to make their cuts just as we witnessed that other slimy performer the former Welsh Secretary “Peter Hain” spouting off about the dire consequences of cuts being made by this coalition government but not offering up one single sound bite about how or what direction the Labour government were going to swing the axe should they have been so lucky as to get re-elected to office in the general election.
It has become increasingly clear that Labour were horrified at the possibility of forming a minority coalition government with the Liberal Democrats and every other of the fringe hotch potch parties that would have needed to come together to command a majority in the house.
Just for one minute imagine the panic amongst the Labour ranks having got the country into such a dire state they would have had the pound worthless within weeks of office and the IMF running the economy for the duration of their time in office, indeed they would not have been re-elected again in my lifetime and instead the poison chalice has been passed on to a new captain who was not drunk in charge of the ship.
Ed Milliband also thinks it is quite reasonable that a Scottish or Labour vote should be worth 20, 30, 40% more than a Tory vote? Nothing could be more absurd all constituencies must be of equal value so all our votes count. This will be fairer by far than AV voting which may see a 2nd or 3rd choice candidate taking a seat from the candidate with the largest proportion of votes.
My worry too is that many Labour 2nd choice votes would be given to the oddball candidates such as the BNP which could spell a disaster for the makeup of our parliament. I agree fully that the bill should be passed to allow the country a referendum on AV voting as it was a clear upfront part of the coalition agreement however come the day of the vote I would not support it as I feel it will allow too many freak show politicians into the house all with their own oddball agenda which would have to be mapped into any coalition agreements.
The Greens in particular will be the ruination of the United Kingdom our green issues will have no impact on a planet which we part occupy along with animals, fish and plants of all varieties that have come and gone from the surface over millions of years. We cannot try to maintain a life in a climate that is not suitable for that life. We have tried to support life in parts of the world simply because we know it is there and dying. The sooner we accept the fact that a part of the plant with no control on its booming populations is a bridge too far. It is sad but we cannot be expected to support life in places with no water.
The brutal fact is that these peoples have wrecked their economies by voting for lunatics to run their countries they support them and are openly hostile to their former landlords from Europe. They have made their beds they can now lay in it but what we should do is offer sanctuary to those people who believe in our ideals who will support their new homes, will integrate and be an asset to society. What we do not want is people who have been a party to wrecking their own country wanting to come here.
During the hand over of Hong Kong to China we lost an opportunity to assimilate a wealthy population from Hong Kong to our shores. These people wanted to emigrate to the UK. With their much needed money and entrepreneurial skills what did we do? We said no! We allowed the PC brigade to say we can’t just take the rich! Its not fair on the poor. We lost these people to places like Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and America.
We should think about our country and about how to boost it and grow our economy for the betterment of the people of this country we should not keep borrowing from the countries that we have been complicit in building up so that they can take our place on the world stage and our jobs to go with them. Be wary of the Greens be very Wary! It will be us living in the caves with no heating if these people ever got a foothold in parliament.
The Greens have one MP and already they are popping up on Newsnight and being interviewed with the same respect as a party with 250 MP’s It has to stop now before we have the IMF in running the country.
